CHILIKA,
the largest natural lake of Asia, spread over an area
of 1100 sq. km is famous for the habitant of hundreds
of migratory birds. Every winter a numbers of migratory
birds travel as far as Siberia to make their winter
sojourn. Chilika offers visitors a spectacular display
of it colorful avian charms in thousands of different
hues. Dotted with number of island, Nalabana and Kalijai
worth visiting. A boat drives from Satapada to Barkul
or vice versa is a bird lovers delight. Satapada is
also famous for Dolphins.

Khadagiri & Udayagiri caves, Nandan Kannan Zoo are
places worth visiting. If u love shopping you can go to
near by market to buy beautiful Oddisi saris, Jewelry,
wooden and stone carved handicrafts or in the evening
you can enjoy Odissi / folk dances at Rabindra Kala Mandap

PURI,
the land of Lord Jagannath also famous for Car festival.
Every year Lord Jagannth with his brother Balahadra and
sister Devi Subhdra moves on a wooden chariot pulled by
thousands of pilgrims. Wood and stone architecture is
also worth buying. Raghrajpur, 10 km away from Puri is
famous for the art of Pata Chitra. Golden beach adds something

KONARK, the abode of sun God is also
known as “ Arka Kshetra”. The temple is one
of the wonders of the world. The temple is constructed
in such a way that when the Sun rises in the east, the
rays first fall on the main citadel of the temple. Konark
with its fantastic quietness on the wind swept sand dunes
of the blue bay and amidst the palm and casuarinas plantation
is a breath-taking monument. It is the symbol of live,
love, worship and creation. Temple is built in the shape
of a chariot drawn by seven splendidly carved horses,
standing aloft on 24 wheels, which represent 24 hours
of a day and 7 days of a week respectively.
BHITARKANIKA,
the second largest mangrove forest after Sunder ban of
West Bengal. Bhitarkanika is famous for its estuarine
crocodiles and Olive Ridley Sea Turtles found at Gahiramatha.
To visit Bhitarkanika you have to take two hours ferry
ride on the river Baitarani from Chandbali, which is around
200 kms away from Bhubaneswar. On way you will be watching
a numbers of crocodile in action on the riverside. Dangamala
and Gupti are two places where you can put up for one
night in a forest lodge without much civic amenities.
